RESUMO

Objective To evaluate the treatment effect of the arthroscopic incomplete removal of calcifications of the supraspinatus tendinitis without acromioplasty.Methods The clinical data of 20 patients of calcified supraspinatus tendinitis with Ellman Ⅰ or Ⅱ in general hospital of Shenyang military area command from January 2014 to February 2016 were retrospectively analyzed.Of the 20 patients,4 males and 16 females,the age ranged from 45 to 62 years old,with average age (50.2 ± 6.3) years old.All the patients received removal incomplete of calcification without acromioplasty.Pre-and postoperative 3,6,9 months general situation were evaluated by the VAS score,Constant-Murley score,University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) score,X-Radiographs and CT.Results The shoulder function was evidently improved in all 20 patients.The average VAS pain score was (8.2 ± 1.4) preoperatively and (0.8 ± 0.6) at the 6 months follow-up.The average Constant-Murley score was (44.6 ± 7.4) preoperatively and (95.4± 3.4) at the 6 months follow-up.The average UCLA score was (12.2 ± 3.6) preoperatively and (33.1 ± 1.4) at the 6 months follow-up.Conclusion The arthroscopic incomplete removal of calcifications of the supraspinatus tendon without acromioplasty can lead to good results with less iatrogenic injury.

[Objective]To investigate the expression changes of miR-133b in methamphetamine(MA)-induced neuro-nal injury in PC12 cells and its regulative effects on cellular apoptosis.[Methods]PC12 cells were cultured and divided into control group and MA treated group.In MA treated group,PC12 cells were insulted with 800μmol/L MA in culture medium. The cellular injury of PC12 cells was observed under microscope. The cellular apoptosis was detected by Hoechst33342/PI double staining,and the expression level of miR-133b was examined by real-time quantitative PCR(RT-PCR). Further-more,miR-133b mimic and inhibitors were transfected into PC12 cells to analyze miR-133b's function in MA-induced cell apoptosis.[Results]The data showed that 800 μmol/L MA could induce obvious cellular injury,cause neurite shortened and increase the cell apoptosis. The RT-PCR data showed that the expression of miR-133b of PC12 cells treated with MA de-creased significantly.The apoptosis rate of PC12 cells decreased after transfection of miR-133b mimic,while increased after transfection of miR-133b inhibitors.[Conclusions]High concentration of MA causes neuron damage and induces neuronal apoptosis,and also decreases the levels of miR-133b expression. Whereas,overexpression of miR-133b can reduce the apoptosis of cultured PC12 cells.Thus,miR-133b plays a crucial role in MA mediated neurotoxicity.This study provides a theoretical basis for elucidating the mechanism of MA-induced neurotoxicity and may provide a new strategy for treating MA addiction.

Objective To discuss the clinical efficacy of Bushen Huayu Sanjie Prescription for the treatment of deficiency of both qi and yin and blood stasis in patients with stage Ⅳ of type 2 diabetic nephropathy. Methods Totally 90 patients with stage Ⅳ of type 2 diabetic nephropathy were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was given Western routine therapy, such as low-protein diet, control of body mass, hypoglycemic, antihypertensive, lipid-lowering, anticoagulation, and microcirculation, etc. On the basis of control group,treatment group was given Bushen Huayu Sanjie Prescription,one dosage per day,twice a day, orally. The treatment for both groups lasted for three months. TCM symptom scores, blood glucose, blood lipids, renal function, 24-hour urinary total protein (UTP), and serum transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) and C-reactive protein (CRP) levels before and after treatment in the two groups were observed. Results The total effective rate of clinical efficacy and TCM efficacy of the treatment group were 80.00% and 84.44%, respectively, and the control group was 62.22%. The treatment group was superior to the control group (P<0.05). Compared with before treatment, TCM symptom scores, blood glucose, blood lipids, renal function, UTP, serum CRP, and TGF-β1 were significantly improved in the two groups (P<0.05). The scores of TCM symptoms, TGF-β1, CRP and UTP in the treatment group were better than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Bushen Huayu Sanjie Prescription combined with Western routine therapy for the treatment of deficiency of both qi and yin and blood stasis in patients with stage Ⅳ of type 2 diabetic nephropathy has good clinical efficacy, which can delay disease progression by reducing TGF-β1 and CRP, inhibiting renal interstitial fibrosis, and decreasing urinary protein excretion.

RESUMO

The genus Xestospongia is one of the most widespread genera of sponges, containing abundant secondary metatolites with novel structures and potent bioactivities. The main structure types of secondary metatolites found in this genus are alkaloids, quinines, terpens, steroids, lipids, polyketones, etc. These metatolites exhibit a variety of bioactivities, such as cytotoxic, antibacterial and antiviral activities. This paper reviews the progress in the chemistry and pharmacological activities of the second metabolities from sponges of Xestospongia, especially for recent five years, with the aim for further research.

To find the relationship between myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) and refractory monolineage cytopenia, thirteen cases of MDS with early presentation of monolineage refractory cytopenia were analyzed retrospectively. The results were as follows: (1) The percentage of 13 cases with refractory monolineage cytopenia were 5.9% of the total 219 MDS patients in the past 10 years. (2) The median time of patients with monlineage cytopenia to M DS diagnosed was 48.5 +/- 55.3 months. The median times from monolineage cytopenia to MDS diagnosed for patients with neutropenia, erythrocytopenia and thrombocytopenia were 12.5 +/- 9.5 months, 53.8 +/- 54.6 months and 59.2 +/- 65.5 months, respectively. (3) The common characteristics of 13 cases were as follows: (a) the macrocytic erythrocytes in peripheral blood and the percentage of intermediate and late erythroblast in bone marrow were increased; (b) occasionally few cells with dysplasia could be found; (c) all patients with erythrocytopenia and thrombocytopenia transformed to RA and RAS while the most of patients with neutropenia transformed to RAEB subtype; (d) autoantibody could be found in part of the patients. It is concluded that some of refractory monolineage cytopenias in essence are the early states of MDS.

RESUMO

To study the relationship of Glycosyl phosphatidylinositol anchored proteins (GIP-Pr) and apoptosis of paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) cells, we isolated peripheral granulocytes from 10 patients with PNH and 10 normal controls and measured apoptosis induced by serum starvation. The FCM analysis of phosphotidylserine (ps) externalization in granulocytes was determined using Annexin-V-FLUOS labeling. After the cells were induced for apoptosis in serum-free medium for 20 hours, the percentage of externalization was 78.6% in normal control cells but 39.5% in PNH cells. The results of FCM analysis of PI stained granulocytes showed that the PI positive rate was 51.5% in control cells and 30.2% in PNH cells. The gel electrophoresis analysis of DNA fragmentation all indicate that PNH granulocytes were relatively resistant to apoptosis as compared with normal controls. This resistance to apoptosis might not be related to the percentage of CD59 deficient granulocytes.
